About me
Hi, I’m Claudia, the founder of Studio van Clau!
With a true passion for yoga, I’ve been teaching classes to companies, festivals, and yoga studios in and around Amsterdam for several years.
What makes my classes unique is that I don’t believe in perfection. I share honestly and vulnerably, because I’m still learning every single day. For me, teaching yoga is a personal journey. The philosophy of yoga touches me again and again, and I feel the need to share that. My classes are intertwined with my own experiences and often grow from the themes that are present in my life at that moment. That openness creates space for connection and relaxation with everyone I teach.
In my sessions, I combine mindfulness techniques with yoga poses, breathing exercises, and visualizations. I give each person some much-needed space to themselves while allowing the stress of the day to simply exist without overwhelm.
Ready for a yoga session? Or do you have questions about corporate yoga? Send me a WhatsApp, drop an email, or find me on Instagram. I can’t wait to meet your team on the mat soon!

Why Studio van Clau?
My approach is motivating, lighthearted, and down-to-earth, with some playfull jokes to ease the serious vibe. The focus is on relaxation and finding balance, without the pressure to perform. I give practical cues and light assistance to help participants experience the poses safely and more deeply, preventing injuries along the way. By sharing my own work experiences, I make myself vulnerable, which helps create a deeper connection with the participants. I want to inspire employees to create space for themselves and experience their workday in a more relaxed way. It’s all about getting out of your head, sinking into your body, and listening to your boundaries, so everyone can move forward with renewed energy.
In my sessions, I combine mindfulness techniques like meditation with yoga poses, breathing exercises, and visualizations. This gives each employee the opportunity to step away from the busyness and truly relax. The session ends with a lying-down relaxation, and, if it feels right, a relaxed head massage for complete surrenity.
The full story
My background as a designer learned me a lot about the pressure that comes with the corporate world. I’ve personally experienced the stress of deadlines, long workdays, and constant pressure. At one point, I had enough and decided to take a new step. I traveled to Nepal, where I took a yoga and mindfulness training that completely changed my life.
After returning to the Netherlands, it felt like my mission to bring the peace and knowledge I had gained back to the workplace. So, I decided to teach corporate yoga to my colleagues and other businesses in the shared building. Time and time again, I noticed that within the hectic office environment, people often had the greatest need for moments of awareness and self-care. This still brings me a lot of fulfillment, because I know I’m offering something valuable to every employee in my classes.
With the knowledge I’ve gained through training in Yin Yoga, Mindfulness, and Vinyasa, I’m excited to teach classes in Amsterdam and the surrounding areas.
